Just Call Me Picasso

Luke has been going to school for three weeks now. He loves playing with the other kids, but just now realized that this is a weekly thing. He is still adjusting. We get a daily update from the teacher on what they did each day. Recently, they have done a lot of art time since it is so hot outside. (They go out to play early in the mornings.) Luke was not familiar with crayons and markers. I had yet to offer this type of thing at the house. Mrs. Natalie said Luke was not so interested. I told her I am sure he just was unsure of what to do. So I told her we would practice at home over the weekend.

Needless so say, one trip to Target and many dollars later we have a Picasso in the making. We created an art station at the dining room table today. Figured we needed to put that table to good use anyway. Luke loved playing with the crayons and clapped each time he made marks. Mrs. Natalie will be shocked next week!

Luke update:
Walking everywhere
Shooting baskets
Loves connecting legos
Loves playing at the park
Music is still his passion
Mimics all sorts of sounds - adding words to his vocabulary
Loves yogurt, grilled cheese, goldfish, pears, bananas and cheerios (to name a few)
Loves Mexican food - chicken fajitas, beans, rice, cheese and avocado
