Pumpkin Patch 2012

This weekend we went and got our pumpkins. Owen is traveling, so my mom went with us. We will hopefuly go again when he returns. But just in case, I wanted to be sure we got our annual picture for Luke. This was at a church in Central Austin. They do a great job and even take pics for you!

Happy Fall!

First Day of School

This week Luke started at a new school. He did not cry at all the first week at drop off and did not want to leave the playground when I picked him up. Needless to say, fastforward the next week and he cried a bit at drop off, but 5 minutes later he was playing with all his new friends. He only attends twice a week, but each morning he asked for, "friends, toys, slide, and art". This is his way of referring to shool. So glad we found a place he really loves and is learning so much already. I now have a mega talker on my hands. Love it!

Visit to Aunt Kiki

Luke loves his family, but there is something about his Aunt Kiki, my sister. He LOVES her. He follows her around the house and calls out her name in the morning to wake her up. It is so cute. This weekend we went to visit her in Houston and went to an Astros game. My cousin Marco is an intern for the Astros this summer which is amazing. He got us free tickets to the game. Luke does not like loud noises, so it was an interesting event. We had a great time regardless.

Enjoy!

Mr. Independent

It is the little things that make me smile. This week, Luke was Mr. Independent. He is good with a spoon and fork, but at times I refrain from the mess and feed him certain things. Yogurt is one of them. However, this week he wanted to feed the yogurt to himself. He politely took the spoon from me and the yogurt cup. He then began to feed himself and did an amazing job. He did not spill a thing. He even ate all the yogurt!  I guess it is way more fun to feed yourself these days.

In the bath, he wanted to wash his own hair. I put in the soap and started to rub it into his hair. He says, "no". Then he does it himself with the biggest smile on his face.

As I said, it is the little things which make me in awe of my son. He is amazing and super sweet. He is no longer my baby, but a little boy. Love him!
