Last weekend we took our first family pictures. My friend Veronica was nice enough to take the pictures for us. I wanted some good pictures of Luke since he is changing so fast. We loved all the pictures, but here are some of my favorites.
To celebrate Father's Day, we invited Owen's parents to lunch. Since this was Owen's first Father's Day, he wanted celebrate with his father as well. We took a picture of Luke, Owen and grandpa Walt before heading home.
This weekend we took Luke on his first out of town trip. We took him to meet my family in Corpus, Kingsville and Alice Texas. The drive was about 3.5 hours from Austin to Corpus and Luke did great. We timed it perfectly. We fed him and immediately started the drive. We made it all the way to Corpus with no crying or fussing. Luke truely likes the car as long as it is moving. He slept most of the way.
We were worried about him sleeping in a new environment, but that was not an issue.
He met so many people, but I only got a few pictures.
This weekend Owen had some of his college friends in town. Carl and Heidi were nice enough to host a barbeque at their house. So we all got to catch up while the kids had a "play date". Here are some family pics of the vistors.
Like all babies, by son hated tummy time. He would cry and cry when I made him do it. The doctor says it is the best thing for him, but it hurt me to make him do something he clearly hated. Well now, he does not mind tummy time. He can push up so strong and see the world. Although he is not rolling over, he is so very close.
When we first brought Luke home we were only to give sponge baths. You can imagine my concern when my son would scream at the top of his lungs in order to let me know he hated sponge baths. I was worried he would hate baths all togeher. I was wrong. He actually loves baths now that we can put him in the baby tub. Here are some after bath pics.
