I made a list so I did not forget.
Morning Person: Unfortunately for Owen, our son is a morning person. When he wakes at 7 in the morning, he is so happy. He smiles and is ready to start the day. Luckily his mom is up at 7 each morning without an alarm.
Music: In the evening Luke sometimes gets fussy. It is right at 5 until his bath at 6. All we have to do is turn the music on and he is content until bath. He is not picky on songs, but his dad does not approves of his mom's play list.
Bath time: He loves baths. This is the second best thing to calm him down besides music. He is so curious in the tub and loves to splash his feet around. He also loves to watch the water fall between his fingers. Bath time is an important part of our night routine, so he gets a bath each night.
Sings to Sleep: It is easy to read Luke's cues when he is tired. Yes, he rubs his eyes but even cuter is the song he sings. This is his way of putting himself to sleep and letting us know it is time for bed. It is by far the cutest things he does and the hardest to capture on video.
Tummy Sleeper: Ever since Luke learned to roll from back to tummy, he now enjoys tummy time. He even sleep son his stomach all night long. He is not crawling yet, but he does move a lot during the night. Thankfully we have a video camera installed in his room.
Oh No the Sun: Luke hates the sun shining in his eyes. Owen says this is because I never have bright light on in the house. I like lamps and not overhead lights. Do not get me wrong, Luke likes being outside, but we must shade his face. This way he can explore the outdoors without the sun blocking his view.
Gadgets Galore: My son has inherited his dad's love for electronics. This makes capturing videos and pictures difficult at times. You pull out the camera and he stops the cute thing he is doing to stare at the camera. In addition, he is fascinated by computers. He sees his mom and dad on the laptop and wants to play too. He reaches for the laptop and types away. So brilliant at such a young age!
Loves the Car: So far Luke is a good traveler. He loves the car and sleeps most of the time. When we first put him in his car seat, he cries. But as soon as you pick it off the floor he stops. He is so smart. He knows he is going for a ride. I love taking him on errands during the day. I cannot wait to take him to do more fun things when he is older.
My Buddies: Pooh Bear and Duckie are his favorite toys. We do not go anywhere without Pooh Bear. He gets washed regularly since Luke likes to chew on him all day. Duckie is his bath time buddy. He likes to chew on his towel, but I think that is gross, so I give him duckie to distract him as I get him dressed.
Loves His Daddy: These days when Owen comes home Luke gets so excited. He can be fussy, but as soon as he sees Owen he is so happy. However, when Owen leaves the room Luke cries for him. So Owen has to give him his full attention when he gets home. Owen is the one who puts Luke to bed every night. This is their time together.
